Gnome Hunt Peggy A. Notebaert Nature Museum

Chicago, IL

May-September 2008

Installed in and around the grounds of the Nature Museum in Chicago as part of the Lawn Nation exhibit, the Gnome Hunt functioned as an interactive installation focused on educating visitors about sustainable lawn care via the charm of the ubiquitous garden gnome. The installation worked as a scavenger hunt, starting with the large gnome in the exhibit space. Each gnome hid a clue to finding the next gnome and a bit of garden gnome lore based on the gnome's particular placement.
