A researcher in my unit received a $1.5 million grant to create continued support services for Asian American and Pacific Islander students to advance academic success and graduation rates. AAPI students make up over 10 percent of the students at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities’ campus and have much lower graduation rates than white students. A core part of the mission of my unit is to advance educational equity.
