This research brief detailing the results, impact, and implications of a published study was designed to translate academic research for the media, and, ultimately, the public. The study focused on how social media could be a way to increase literacy for English language learners who were avid users. This research helped raise awareness for the Department’s brand as generating cutting-edge research with community impact that improves educational opportunities for all learners. The brief got picked up by media outlets including a resulting interview in the popular publication, Education Week.
